Construction Laborer - Hand Tools
The comprehensive, task-based simulations and elearning content covers core knowledge and skills around identifying, learning the use of, and operating safely; common hand tools, hand saws, and hack saws.
Competencies are earned through iterative practice and performance evaluation within VR simulations and elearning assessments. Participants demonstrate learning over a 2.75-hour period by achieving a minimum assessment score of 80%.

Learner has showed competency by correctly identifying and using hand tools for the Construction Laborer trade. They have completed and passed the module assessment at a rate of 80% or higher.
Hand Tools: Inspecting and Identifying Correctly - Trainee will learn and demonstrate how to identify and inspect the following common hand tools: channel locks, Phillips head screwdriver, sheet metal shears, torque wrench, utility knife, and wrench.
Hand Tools: Using Hand Tools Correctly - Trainee learned and demonstrated how to use the following common hand tools: channel locks, Phillips head screwdriver, sheet metal shears, torque wrench, utility knife, and wrench.
Layout Tools: Squares, Plumb Bobs, and Levels - Trainee identified and used levels, squares, and a plumb bob.
Hand Tools: Hand Saws - Trainee will learned and demonstrated how to inspect and safely use a hand saw.
Hand Tools: Hack Saws - Trainee learned and demonstrated how to inspect and safely use a hacksaw.
